At the core of the business is the company's ability to work closely with farmers throughout the cotton growing areas in the western and now eastern cotton growing area. To ensure that social commitment remains relevant and sustainable, it is our view that it has to be achieved through the creation of a circular economy around the business with real, measurable impact. Impact can be achieved in many ways and some of the areas we are having a positive outcome are outlined below.

The factory requires fuel to run the boilers. Technical modification, which required a significant capital investment, was used to convert the boilers in utilising groundnut shells to run the same. This was previously a waste, and now through the cotton purchasing network the firm is able to buy shells in nearby villages, creating a new income channel for the same group of farmers. Secondly, through the investment in edible oil refineries, the business is now able to produce high-quality oils using local seed. These products not only have a lower carbon footprint but provide a ready market for the farmers' produce. The oil, which has much better health properties than imported palm oil, has a positive impact on the local population, and the end consumers remain the same farm base that the business works closely with.

All our investments in new lines will reduce the impact of imported goods and bring closer locally produced goods using local ingredients having a sustainable social impact.

We also offer long-return loans to support our staff members in achieving significant life goals, such as constructing a solid foundation for long-term dream homes. These loans come interest-free with favourable repayment terms, allowing our employees to comfortably fulfil their aspirations without facing undue financial strain.
